Privacy policy

What personal data we process when you use this site, why, with whom we share it and what your rights are, in accordance with the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Last updated: 25 October 2026.

This English text is a translation provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

Data controller

Brokerlink Sàrl, Rue des Épineys 11a, 1920 Martigny, Switzerland, is the controller responsible for the processing described here. For any question about your data or to exercise your rights, write to us at info@brokerlink.ch.

The data we process

When you visit the site. The site's hosting provider records technical data needed for its operation and security: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system. The site uses no advertising and only measures its audience with your consent (see “Audience measurement”); your choice is stored in your browser. Fonts are served from our own server: no connection is made to Google.

When you book an appointment. We receive the subject, the format (at your home, by video call or by phone), the date and time you have chosen, as well as:

  • your first name, surname, e-mail address and phone number;
  • your postcode, which allows us to offer you an adviser from your region;
  • for an appointment at your home, your address and town;
  • the message you choose to leave us.

When you write to us. The contact form transmits your name, e-mail address, phone number (optional), profile (private individual, business or broker) and your message. A request for a demo of the Broker area also transmits the name of your firm and the topics you are interested in.

The map on the Contact page. It is provided by OpenStreetMap: when you display this page, your browser connects to the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom), which receive your IP address and information about your browser. The “Directions” button opens Google Maps only if you click on it.

2nd pillar asset search

On the “2nd pillar asset search” page, the online form is provided by our search platform (onboarding.brokerlink.ch), embedded in the page. There, in order to search for your assets on your behalf, Brokerlink Sàrl processes:

  • your answers to the estimation questionnaire;
  • to receive a call back: your first name, surname, phone number (verified by SMS) and, if you wish, your e-mail address;
  • to start the search: your identity, date of birth, sex, contact details, AHV number and marital status, a copy of both sides of your identity document and your signature on the power of attorney;
  • proof of your consent (text accepted, date, IP address and browser).

This data is transmitted to the Central Office 2nd Pillar and to the pension and vested benefits institutions concerned and then, if you consolidate your assets, to the foundation you have chosen. Your AHV number, date of birth and identity document are only sent with the complete search, in encrypted form. A search that has been started but never sent is deleted 30 days after your last activity; a call-back request not followed by a mandate, 12 months after the last contact.

The form and the case files of our platform are hosted by LWS (France), the documents by Amazon Web Services in Zurich (Switzerland). E-mails are sent via Infomaniak (Switzerland) and Resend (United States), the verification code via Twilio (United States). Embedded in our site, the form uses no advertising tools; audience measurement (Microsoft Clarity) is only activated in it if you have accepted it on our site (see “Audience measurement”).

Full details, in particular about the partners to whom your data may be transmitted with your consent, can be found in the privacy policy of the search platform.

Audience measurement

If you accept cookies in the “Your cookie preferences” banner, we use Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd (Ireland) and Microsoft Corporation (United States), to understand how the site and the form are used and to improve them. Clarity produces heatmaps and session recordings: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, mouse movements, type of device and browser, approximate country.

  • What you type into the fields is never recorded, and personal data displayed on screen is masked.
  • Clarity sets its cookies (_clck, _clsk, lasting one year at most) only after you have given your consent, and stores nothing for advertising.
  • Your choice also applies to the 2nd pillar asset search form embedded in the site.
  • You can change your mind at any time using the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of each page: if you refuse, measurement stops and Clarity's cookies are deleted.

Why we process it

  • to answer your questions and requests;
  • to organise your appointment, assign it to an adviser available for that subject in your region, confirm it and prepare it;
  • to advise you and, if you entrust us with a brokerage mandate, to prepare the corresponding offers;
  • to ensure the operation and security of the site;
  • with your consent, to measure the use of the site and the form in order to improve them;
  • to comply with our legal obligations.

Your data is neither sold nor rented out, and is not used for advertising purposes. Submitting a form implies that you have read this policy.

Who has access to it

  • The Brokerlink team: the adviser in charge of your appointment and the staff who organise appointments, each to the extent necessary for their task. If appointments may be entrusted to external partners (brokers, partner organisations), state this here.
  • Our technical service providers, who process data on our behalf and according to our instructions: hosting of the site and of our customer relationship management tool, where your appointments are recorded (LWS, France), and our e-mail service (Infomaniak, Switzerland), through which messages from the contact form are delivered. With your consent, audience measurement (Microsoft Clarity).
  • Insurance companies and pension institutions, only if you entrust us with a mandate and to the extent necessary to carry it out.
  • The authorities, where the law requires us to do so.

Disclosure abroad

Some data is processed outside Switzerland: in France (hosting of the site and of our customer relationship management tool) and in the United Kingdom (OpenStreetMap map). Both countries are on the list, drawn up by the Federal Council, of states whose legislation ensures an adequate level of protection (Annex 1 to the Data Protection Ordinance). Some service providers are based in the United States: Microsoft (audience measurement, only with your consent), as well as Resend and Twilio for the e-mails and the verification code of the 2nd pillar asset search form. Your data is only disclosed to them if they are certified under the Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework or, failing that, on the basis of the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Retention period

  • Contact and appointment requests not followed up: deleted no later than two years after the last exchange.
  • If an advisory relationship or a mandate follows: for the entire duration of the relationship, then for ten years to comply with our statutory retention obligations (in particular Art. 958f of the Code of Obligations).
  • Technical browsing data: a few weeks at most, depending on the hosting provider, unless it is needed to analyse a security incident.
  • Audience measurement (Microsoft Clarity): session recordings 30 days, statistics 13 months. Your choice remains stored in your browser until you change it or clear the site's data.

Security

Exchanges with the site are encrypted (HTTPS). The site transmits your appointment requests to our customer relationship management tool over an encrypted and authenticated connection. Access to your data is restricted to the people who need it to process your request.

Automated decisions

We do not make any decision based solely on automated processing that would have legal effects for you or significantly affect you. Only the assignment of an adviser to your appointment is automatic: it takes into account the subject, your region and availability.

Your rights

At any time, you may:

  • find out whether we process data about you and obtain a copy of it (right of access);
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • request its erasure or object to its processing, subject to our statutory retention obligations;
  • receive the data you have provided to us in a commonly used format, or have it transmitted to a third party (Art. 28 FADP);
  • withdraw your consent, with effect for the future.

Write to us at info@brokerlink.ch. We may ask you to prove your identity, and will in principle reply within 30 days. You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, www.edoeb.admin.ch.

Changes

We may amend this policy, in particular if our services or our service providers change. The version published on this page, with its update date, is the one that applies.
